Announcing the Dark Retreat Cabin in Paldenling project
Paldenling is a piece of Dzogchen Community land in the mountains of Southern Poland, near the border with Slovakia. It's around 3 hours away from the city of Krakow by car and 4 hours by bus. As it's far away from city hassle, it's a perfect place to relax and practice.
Paldenling has 5 hectares of land, the main two-flat building, the Longde Cabin and
the new Dakini Cabin, which was constructed this spring. This summer we are
starting the new project - the Dark Retreat Cabin. The design has been created by
an Australian architect, Tony Laurent. You can view it in the
Design section.
The project is a big challenge for the Polish Dzogchen Community. We believe that both Polish as well as Central Europe practitioners needs to have a good quality dark retreat cabin where members of the International Dzogchen Community can do their practice. We believe tha Paldenling is a very good place for that and is especially useful when you have more time and want to develop different types of practice.
As Poland is a part of European Union and the Schengen Agreement, all its members can come here easily. However, the prices of transport, food etc. are generally still lower than in the West, which is very useful if you prepare for a bit longer retreats. Also the lodging in Paldenling has prices meant to encourage the practitioners to come and practice (12 zloty or 3,5 euro per night, in the house or one of the cabins).
May it bring much benefit for everybody!
